Written tags versus the sound
This splits what it finds into two kinds. The written tags, the title, artist, comment, copyright, encoder and any album art, are text and images bolted onto the file, and they are the part that quietly names you or your setup. The structural facts, the codec, bitrate and sample rate, describe how the audio was encoded; they are shown so you can see them, but they are not personal and this tool leaves them be.
What an empty result means
If no written tags show up, they were already stripped or never added. That is common for a plain voice recording or a file exported without tags. A blank read does not mean the sound itself is anonymous: who is speaking, the room, and a faint mains hum can still sit in the audio. Those are separate questions this tool does not judge.
Your recording stays on your device
